OUR HISTORY AND MISSION

The French American Chamber of Commerce, Gulf Coast chapter (FACC-GC) is an independent non-profit organization (501-c-6), non-governmental and member-funded organization.
The FACC-GC is one of 20 chapters of the French-American Chamber of Commerce in the United-States with over 5000 members.

The first French Chamber of Commerce abroad was formed in New Orleans in 1876. Just over a century later in 1983, the French American Business Association of Louisiana formed, and finally, following a trade mission to France in 1988, the French American Chamber of Commerce Gulf Coast Chapter became its successor.

The FACC-GC is guided by a Board of Directors comprised of dedicated executives representing some of the most respected and notable French-American businesses in diverse sectors.
Our past presidents include well-known Gulf Coast business leaders: Waldemar Nelson, Paul Nalty, Michele Braden, Lucien Boulad, Damien Regnard and Donald Hoffman. Eric Belin, an attorney in New Orleans, is the current FACC-GC President. He has served in this capacity since 2012.

Our bilingual staff has lived, studied or worked in France, and understands the intricacies of cross-cultural business development.

We serve entrepreneurs, top executives, young professionals, and the French-American community at large through information sharing, a large variety of events, assistance to the launch and development of your business.

The mission of the French-American Chamber of Commerce Gulf Coast Chapter is to promote, support and enhance business opportunities between Louisiana, Mississippi, Southern Alabama and France. Through professional events, the FACC-GC provides opportunities for members to cultivate and grow their personal and business network.
We also assist French companies interested in launching or expanding to the Gulf Coast region.

The FACC-GC is a member of CCI France International, an international network of 126 French foreign chambers of commerce that spans 95 countries and represents over 35,000 members worldwide.

FACC-GC is funded solely through membership dues, event revenue and business services.
